Pendine - The Hidden History
Find out about Pendine's wartime history and the hidden world of a Ministry of Defence site.

Pendine isn’t all about speed. There’s a side to this village that many don’t realise exists.
Since the Second World War, Pendine has been home to the Ministry of Defence, who chose this quiet spot in rural west Wales for a very good reason: it was perfect for preparing for the D-Day landings.
This exhibition charts the history of the site and gives you peek behind the security fences. Find out about the cutting-edge science that still takes place there and why part of the beach is often closed during weekdays. Even today, Pendine remains the home of science in west Wales.
