      Proudly part of CofGâr

Carmarthenshire Museum tells the stories of people and places in Sir Gâr across 50,000 years of human history. The museum has been housed in the Old Bishop’s Palace of St David’s since 1978 in the village of Abergwili, just outside Carmarthen, in south-west Wales. We’re owned and run by Carmarthenshire County Council (CofGâr).

We are a family of five museums based in Carmarthenshire. Together, we represent the Carmarthenshire County Council museums and arts service, and we're excited to welcome you to our wonderful venues.
