Dylan Thomas Boathouse | Thu-Mon, 10am-5pm

Visit the Boathouse

My seashaken house / On a breakneck of rocks.

Dylan Thomas , Prologue

The house was the final home of Wales’s most famous poet, Dylan Thomas, who lived there with his family for four years between 1949 and 1953. It was a special place for them all—a warm and happy family home. Although the house is small, the atmosphere and the memories it evokes are immense, attracting visitors from all over the world.

Inside, you will find many things that recall the time Dylan spent there, from the cosy ground-floor living room to images and artefacts from his life and era on the upper floor.

You will discover Dylan’s story and how he became famous (and infamous!), and see a variety of exhibitions that bring you closer to his creative and unconventional mind.
