Group Visits at the Museum of Land Speed

Visitors gathered inside a bright museum gallery or event space, standing and sitting while listening to a presentation or talk taking place out of view. Large floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with natural light, while framed photographs and interpretation panels hang on the walls.

We welcome groups of all sizes to the Museum of Land Speed to discover the amazing stories of land speed records and engineering achievements.

If you're planning to visit us as part of a group of 10 or more people, please book in with us at least seven days in advance. This helps us to ensure that you can get the most out of your visit.

And, if you're booking on behalf of a motoring club, please let us know so that we can reserve parking for you in our Events Circle. The Events Circle is a secure, barrier controlled space to park your vehicles, allowing them the opportunity to shine and delight audiences.

You're welcome to book by giving us a call during ordinary opening hours on 01267 224611 or email info@cofgar.wales.

If anyone in your group has accessibility needs, please see our Accessibility page.

Coaches

Coach parties are welcome to park in the main car park or in the beachside car park. Both areas offer step-free access to the Museum and accessible pathways.

We recommend combining your visit to the Museum with a visit to the nearby Dylan Thomas Boathouse in Laugharne to make the most of your trip.

Our Multi-Site Tickets offer you an unlimited number of visits to both the Dylan Thomas Boathouse and the Museum of Land Speed ifor 7 days from the day of purchase.

The two sites are situated just a few miles apart along the wondrous Wales Coastal Path. One multi-site ticket is equal to less than the price of individual day tickets to both sites. See our Visit page for more information.

Public Transport

Buses run four times a day from Carmarthen and three times a day from Tenby to Pendine.

The nearest train station is in Whitland, which is served by frequent trains from Carmarthen and Tenby, plus connecting buses to St Clears. Buses to Pendine can be caught from there.

Guided Tours

Museum Tours

We're pleased to offer guided tours of the Museum for group visitors lasting up to an hour from one of our knowledgeable staff members. The tour will introduce you to the history of land speed racing on Pendine Sands and tell you more about the many famous visitors to the area over the last century.

If you would like to book a tour for your group, we charge £5 per person, with payment accepted in advance or on the day.

We recommend a maximum of 15 people per tour to ensure the best experience for your group. For larger groups, we recommend splitting the group so that some join a tour, while others explore the rest of the Museum or head to the beach. The groups can then swap around after each tour.
