Explore Wales through J M W Turner and his contemporaries, featuring rare sketchbooks, landscapes and Neo‑Romantic art.

For periods of time between 1910 and 1913, the artists James Dickson Innes and Augustus John, and occasionally Derwent Lees, formed an artistic community in the Arenig valley in North Wales. Together they produced radical landscape paintings that transformed the visual language of Welsh art.

Relax and enjoy our regular series of free public rehearsals at Carmarthenshire Museum.

Witches, pumpkins and not a scrap of plastic: a sustainable Halloween at CofGâr!

Carmarthenshire Museum in Abergwili is turning into a School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this October half term, with a programme of potion-making, broom-making, folk tales and theatre that shows Halloween can be great fun without the waste.

Join our guided storytelling tours led by local actor, Ceri Phillips, sharing traditional folklore and seasonal tales connected to the county to celebrate Carmarthenshire's rich heritage.

Adam Jones (Adam yn yr Ardd), the S4C and BBC Radio Cymru gardener, will lead a bilingual hands-on workshop for children.
