Help us keep the Sir Gâr story alive for everyone

Our vision is to have community-focused local museums at the forefront of change, sustainability, collection care, and accessibility in Wales.

You are at the heart of that vision. And your skills, your stories, and your support can help to make that vision a reality.

Whether it's volunteering your time to inspire young people, fundraising for an important acquisition, or making a donation towards an exciting event, your support makes the Carmarthenshire collection - and the Sir Gâr story - accessible for all.

Work experience

Learn new skills and have some fun through work experience at a CofGâr museum.

Are you interested in a career in museums? Or maybe you just have a love of history? You might even want to work in customer service or marketing, but you haven't found the right path to get there.

At CofGâr, we can offer work experience placements to secondary school students that will introduce you to all areas of working in museums, from welcoming visitors to conserving collections.
