Loan Boxes

Second World War objects laid out together. Includes a medical bag, printed flyer, helmet, and armbands.
We add more loan boxes to the website every month. For a full list of what we offer, please contact our Learning Team at cofgar@carmarthenshire.gov.uk

CofGâr loan boxes encourage children to explore historical objects first‑hand, providing the rich, hands‑on learning experiences central to the current curriculum in Wales.

Designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding, each box helps learners’ step into the past and explore stories, cultures, and everyday lives in a way that textbooks alone can’t match. They’re an inspiring way to bring history to life and enrich classroom learning with genuine artefacts that make every discovery feel meaningful.
